Breathe Your Way to Bulletproof Willpower
Practice this breathing method for bulletproof will power:
Position: Start by finding a comfortable place to sit. Whether you sit in a chair or cross-legged on the ground is a matter of preference, just be sure to be comfortable so you can stay still while you sit.
Breathing: Close your eyes and focus on your breath. As you inhale and exhale, do so purposefully and build a consistent rhythm. It’s important to clear your mind and focus solely on your breathing to activate your prefrontal cortex.
Duration: Continue to focus solely on your breathing and rhythm for 15 – 20 minutes. Be sure to catch your mind if it wanders and stay attentive to the rhythm and feeling of your breathing. This will help you build self-awareness and self-control to strengthen your will power.
